1) Explain the difference between ’secular’ and ‘non-secular’.

Answer:this is the state of being separate from religion. For instance, eating and bathing may be regarded as examples of secular activities, because there is nothing inherently religious about them. Saying a prayer, worshipping and attending Sunday School are examples of religious (non-secular) activities

Answer:     HMAS sydney discovery

An expedition by a group of people trying to solve the HMAS Sydney mystery in the indian ocean just off the coast of western australia has led to success. The group of people found the HMAS sydney and its allie the kormoran. The kormaron is a german vessel that was set out to destroy the HMAS Sydney. In the end both of the vessel were destroyed and all the sailors on board went with it. 1) Describe the Australian Governments NetAlert program?

Answer:The net alert program is a program that the Australian government has set up to tackle internet related crimes against children. It also stops children from being put under pressure by anonymous people.

2)Discuss the reasons why they have implemented such a program?

Answer:To protect children aginst the dangers of the internet and how it could effect anyone at any age.

Documentry: Kanyini

Yesterday we watched a video called kanyini.

1. The movie is about a man explaining how the white people took him away from his family because he was a half caste.
2. The movie is about how the aboriginal people lived when the white people were there.
3. It explains the hardships the aboriginal people had to endure while the white men had control over them.
4. The movie tells us that the aboriginal people had no clothes.
5. The movie kanyini is a documentary.
6. In the documentary it mentions that the white people killed many aboriginal men and they raped many aboriginal women.

Journal:

“A multimedia system is an information system that combines at least TWO to THREE types of media, such as text, hypertext, audio, images, animations and video”.

1.) Provide a description and an example of each type of media listed above.

Answer: Text- Text is the main part of any document or file. e.g. there many different types of text types such as an exposition or a narrative. Audio- Audio is the sound that is used with another media type or on its own, Animations- animations are images that move sometimes animations are combined with audio to make them more effective, Video- a video is a visual representation of a series of photos played at 24 photos/frames a second, video is used not only in presentations, it is used as a form of entertainment, Hypertext- hypertext is a way of organizing your writing material, it is a link that takes you to another page, it could lead you to a video, audio or image.

2.) Outline THREE problems with the design of the following power point slide.

Answer- 1) There is to many words 2) The words are going to be to small to ready when it goes onto a projector & 3) The picture takes up to much space.
