Answer: Moral integrity is a complex and subtle ethical notion. As theologian Stanley Hauerwas has argued, it is central to all the other virtues but more fundamental than any single virtue. The root of the term integrity is wholeness. Moral wholeness rather than rigidity best captures the idea of moral integrity. For example, a person might discover that some long-held ethical belief, attitude or rule of conduct was mistaken because the person came to see that it was incompatible with other, more fundamental ethical commitments. 2) Describe why Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity.
Answer: Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity because of his selfless actions and being brave. He did not look at the fact that he was throwing away his life for a person he did not know, instead he saw the fact that he was doing an hounarable duty by saving a life. Also another reason to justify Maxmillian’s high level of moral integrity is that there are very few people in this world who will sacrifice their life to save another person who they don’t know.
3) Outline Maximillians ethical actions/principles that he demonstrated in Auschwitz.
